A directional control valve designed for operating double-acting pneumatic actuators using a single solenoid with spring return. Provides reliable switching of airflow for forward and reverse motion.
How It Works
- 5 ports:
- P (Pressure/Inlet)
- A & B (Outputs)
- R & S (Exhausts)
- 2 positions:
- De-energized (spring return) → Air flows from P to one port (A or B), the other port exhausts
- Energized → Air flow switches direction (P to B or A), reversing actuator movement
- Single solenoid + spring return ensures automatic return to default position when power is removed
